Through personalized mentoring and the provision of systemic supports, DiscoverU helps youth successfully apply and gain admission to and complete high-quality, out-of-school learning experiences that empower them with the skills, confidence, and mindsets to advocate for their own success.
WHY EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING?
Research confirms that students who participate in experiential learning develop social-emotional skills such as grit and the navigation of systems and are more engaged in their education and future plans. 98% of DiscoverU students consider their out-of-school learning experience to be a positive impact on their future success.
OUR PROGRAM MODEL
DiscoverU works in schools to provide a system for identifying and vetting high-quality, out-of-school learning experiences, matching youth with the most promising opportunities, and supporting those youth step-by-step from initial interest to program completion.
